How to lose unwanted pounds

An inspirational story from the Detroit Free Press recounts how a Michigan mom, Jennifer Anderson, lost 95 pounds in a year.  Anderson’s advice in a nutshell:

Eat less, move more. That was all it took. No magic pills, or shakes … eat regular food, just less of it, and move.

  1. I lost a lot of weight in the last year or so (not as much as Jennifer), and answered the exact same way when people asked me how I did it. My challenge is to continue following this advice once the weight is/was off. But, there is value in knowing that the basic laws of physics can help you lose weight, if you allow them.

    Congrats on your weight loss! Do you have any other advice that worked for you? For instance, did you stop eating a certain number of hours before bed? Did you find you had to avoid certain foods? Did you walk more or did you do other kinds of exercises?
